One Dream Wasn't Enough...

Counting the coins in "Big Oinkie"; tutoring my peers in reading and writing; composing stories and plays; performing on stage as a musician, singer, actor, and dancer; volunteering at food pantries & shelters and collecting donations for those in need; learning architectural drawing and looking at houses; creating a summer fitness camp; and joining together with community members to use those coins in "Big Oinkie" to help a neighbor battling cancer.  As a child, these were a few of my favorite things, and they still are.  So, at an early age, I knew that it would be a challenge to channel my diverse interests into one career field.

After earning my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I worked in the fields of public relations, fine arts, professional writing, financial services, and higher education for several years.  At the University of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University, I held many different positions including financial aid counselor, faculty member, master advisor, and assistant dean.  In 2007, I decided to go out on my own and returned to freelance writing and editing.  I also became an accredited investor with interests in the areas of real estate, stocks and bonds, private equity, animation/film, and music.  However, one of the best parts of being self-employed is the freedom to pursue more philanthropic and creative endeavors.
